From Next Level Neo comes these Surge Suppressors for addressable leds (3 pin). These are meant to reduce voltage jumps and dips to the leds and protect them.
They have a capacitor across the power and data lines to help keep power levels steady, and they have a resistor on the data line to help protect against shocks there as well. Just add one of these before the first led in each light and you'll be better protected against unwanted voltage shocks.
These are safe for 5v or 12v leds.
This is not a guarantee that your LEDs won't fail, there are many factors that can lead to LED failure, these surge suppressors just help with one of the leading causes.
Standard 2 year warranty, wires and plugs must still be attached. The defective surge suppressor will need to be returned for warranty replacement.
